Backdrop Colors FOR BABY-ONLY PORTRAITS
I like to start each milestone and birthday session with a few baby-only portraits against a solid backdrop. Clients can choose their favorite color from the options below. Note: When it comes to styling the baby, I recommend you be thoughtful about the backdrop color. Monochrome (as you can see in Marine Blue, Creamy White, Dusty Pink, and Warm Tan) is beautiful, but two-tone or three tone (like you can see in Cedar Green and Mocha Brown) are also lovely. You’re welcome to check out the outfit options in the JWB Client Closet in the next section, and you’ll see that many of the outfits I have on hand match and coordinate with the backdrops really well, making baby styling extra easy for parents!
Note: The family portion of the milestone & birthday sessions is done against a white brick wall, and the cake portion of each birthday session takes place on the creamy white backdrop.
JWB CLIENT CLOSET FOR BABIES 6-12 MONTHS
Everything has been thoughtfully curated to photograph beautifully, making it easy to choose what you love.
You are also welcome to bring your own clothes for your baby to be photographed in, for both the family portion as well as the baby-only portriaits. I recommend clothing that’s tight fitting (even on the small side!) that shows off your baby’s adorable legs, arms, and toes. You can see examples of what works best in the Client Closet options below. Babies wearing bulky jeans, sweaters, and shoes don’t photograph as well (and there’s plenty of time of those outfits down the road!)
We also always have the option of a few shots of your baby in their “birthday suit,” which are parent favorites from every gallery.

BIRTHDAY ACCESSORIES
For cake smash birthday sessions, parents have the option of incorporating a birthday banner into a few of the cake pictures. These are the color options stocked in the studio:
