A studio maternity session is held at my Ridgefield, CT photography studio — a warm, comfortable space with professional lighting, posing guidance, and wardrobe options on hand. The result is a clean, timeless portrait that holds up beautifully for decades. Studio sessions include mom-only portraits as well as poses with partners, children, and even pets. My Ridgefield studio is a short drive from throughout Fairfield County and Westchester County, and the surrounding areas, including Greenwich, Westport, White Plains, Brookfield, Darien, New Canaan, Stamford, Armonk, and Bedford.
Outdoor Maternity Photography — Fairfield County & Westchester County
Outdoor maternity sessions take place at golden hour in some of the most beautiful locations across Fairfield County and Westchester County. Think: Sun-drenched fields, Westchester’s wooded parks, and shoreline spots along the Connecticut coast. Sessions are one hour with two to three outfit changes, and include mom-only portraits as well as poses with partners, kids, and pets. I'll help you choose a location that works for your vision and your due date timeline.
Bundle Your Maternity & Newborn Session — Save $150
A maternity session and a newborn session go hand in hand, and when you book both together, you'll save $150. It's the most popular way for expecting families across Fairfield County and Westchester County to document the full journey from bump to baby. The bundle works with any studio newborn or lifestyle newborn session, as well as the First Year Collection.
What to Expect From Your Maternity Session
Maternity sessions are relaxed and guided from start to finish. You don't need to know how to pose; that's my job! I'll walk you through every setup, suggest locations based on the look you're going for, and make sure you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. Most clients are surprised by how easy and enjoyable the whole experience is.
Maternity Photography — Frequently Asked Questions

Ideally the photoshoot takes place in the seven month range, when the bump is beautifully round but you're still comfortable and mobile. Book early, around the five month mark, especially if you're also planning a newborn session, so we can coordinate both dates around your due date.

Flowy dresses, form-fitting gowns, and soft neutrals tend to photograph beautifully. Studio clients also have access to a small selection of maternity gowns on site.

Absolutely, and I'd encourage it. Both studio and outdoor sessions include family poses with partners, children, and pets. These early family portraits, bump and all, are often the ones clients treasure most.

I monitor the forecast closely and will reach out if conditions look unfavorable. Rescheduling for rainy weather is always an option, as is a pivot to a studio session.
